Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos, operas and other dramatic shows. She was taught by her mother to sing, but she started intensive vocal training by Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera Tenor. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. Her early professional career included performances with a variety of chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. After relocating in the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her place in southern California. She's a frequent solo performer for private events and parties singing traditional Latin American Music. Her passion for performing, music, as well as the arts keeps her involved in local activities for both an artist as well as a instructor. Ana was a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, to bring about a desire, specifically for the young generation in keeping the music vibrant.
