Angelica Panganiban - a Filipino American model, TV host and actress - is an American comedian. Panganiban was dubbed as the queen of Drama across numerous media. Panganiban's range of talents and expertise as an actor is well acknowledged. The name angelica roots means that only the root of the plant is employed. Angelica was a contestant on season 12 of America's Got Talent, where her performance of Rise Up (by Andra) helped get her past the auditions. Angelica was awarded a Gold Buzzer at the Judge Cuts stage after she sang Girl on Fire Alicia Keys. Chris Hardwick was the guest judge. During the live shows she performed Clarity from Zedd in the Quarterfinals and Without You by David Guetta for her Semifinals performance. Angelica moved on to the finals of the competition in which she sang Symphony from Clean Bandit. She sang Stronger, along with Kelly Clarkson, and Kechi Okwuchi in the final results. The youngest contestant in show history, she came in second. The year 2012 was the year that Angelica Hale was just 4 years old, she was very sick with a double pneumonia attributed to an aggressive strep pneumococcal infective bacteria. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston was able to place Angelica Hale on ECMO care for life-saving treatment. Her organs failed in multiple ways as well as kidney failure, which did not recover. The patient was required to change her lifestyle around hemodialysis and later on peritoneal dialysate. After spending 80 consecutive days in the hospital from death to recovery she finally returned home, but the course of her life changed forever. After a year and a half of dialysis Angelica was ready to undergo the most significant operation she had ever undergone- her kidney transplant. Her mother would be the organ donor. Angelica and her mother had an operation that was successful on 13 September 2013. The surgery was performed at Emory University Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, two hospitals located across from one another. Angelica Hale is pursuing her stardom dreams ever since.
