MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen him become a part of mainstream Latin music. In 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. In 2017, he released ADN The First Long-Player in the name of La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album peaked at the top of the charts, being ranked eighth at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna and him in the following year. He also collaborated together with Noriel to record Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and next year, released his sophomore album which was the charting Dopamina. In 2021, he appeared as a duo with TINI on her streaming smash single Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge single La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was raised in music-loving family. His younger brother and his mother are also musicians. Interviews with him have described his involvement in music as mandatory. In his childhood he was taught to play the piano, saxophone as well as guitar. While his initial career choice was to be a veterinarian, his brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in lessons in singing with the help of a Cuban teacher. The end outcome of discovering his talents in the field of singing changed the course of his life.
